Cookie policy
Information about cookies and similar technologies used by Anvipartners, their purpose and how to manage consent, in compliance with Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE and AEPD guidance.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website installs on the user’s device to remember information about the visit. They may be first-party or third-party and may last for a session or longer.
Types we use
These are all the cookies the site sets. Necessary ones cannot be rejected, because the site does not work without them; the rest are only set if you accept them.
Marketing cookies are those of the Meta pixel: they are used to measure whether an advert on Facebook or Instagram ends in a visit or an enquiry, and are only set if you accept them.
| Cookie | Owner | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| anvi_consent | ANVIPARTNERS (first party) | Necessary | Stores your cookie decision so you are not asked again on every page. | 12 months |
| _ga | Google (Google Analytics) | Analytics | Distinguishes visitors to count how many people come and what path they take, in aggregate. | 2 years |
| _ga_W2FH1W6FBQ | Google (Google Analytics) | Analytics | Keeps the session state for this site’s Analytics property. | 2 years |
| _clck | Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity) | Analytics | Stores a random identifier to recognise the same visitor across pages and days, and Clarity settings for this site. | 12 months |
| _clsk | Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity) | Analytics | Joins the pages you view into a single session, so the visit replay is complete. | 1 day |
| CLID | Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity, third party) | Analytics | Recognises the browser the first time Clarity sees it on any site that uses it. | 12 months |
| ANONCHK | Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity, third party) | Analytics | Indicates whether the Microsoft identifier (MUID) is passed to Microsoft’s advertising cookie. | 10 minutes |
| MR | Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity, third party) | Analytics | Indicates whether the Microsoft identifier (MUID) needs refreshing. | 7 days |
| MUID | Microsoft (third party) | Analytics | Browser identifier used by Microsoft services, Clarity among them. | 13 months |
| SRM_B | Microsoft (third party) | Analytics | Microsoft identifier on bing.com that appears when Clarity loads, alongside MUID. We do not advertise on Bing. | 13 months |
| SM | Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity, third party) | Analytics | Syncs the Microsoft identifier (MUID) across Microsoft domains. | Session |
| _fbp | Meta (Meta pixel) | Marketing | Identifies the browser so that Meta can match your visits to the Facebook and Instagram adverts that brought them. | 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta (Meta pixel) | Marketing | Stores the click identifier when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram advert. It only appears in that case. | 90 days |
| fr | Meta (Meta pixel, third party) | Marketing | Meta cookie on facebook.com: set when the pixel sends Meta the visit, and used to show and measure adverts. | 90 days |
How to manage consent
When you access the site, a notice is shown that lets you accept everything, reject everything or choose by category. Rejecting takes the same effort as accepting: one click, in the same place. Until you choose, no cookie is set other than the necessary ones.
Consent can be changed at any time from “Cookie settings”, in the footer.
We keep a record of each consent — a random identifier, the date, the categories accepted and the country — so that we can demonstrate that it was requested and what the answer was. We do not store your IP address or your browser.
Microsoft Clarity does not load until you accept analytics cookies: without that permission, it records nothing and sets nothing.
The Meta pixel does not load until you accept marketing cookies: without that permission, it sends nothing to Meta and sets nothing.
Until you accept, Google Analytics does not set cookies or recognise you from one visit to the next, but the website does send it pings without identifiers — which page was viewed, when, the language and technical data about the browser and the screen — to estimate how many visits there are. Google calls this advanced consent mode. If you accept, those pings are then sent with the Analytics cookie.
Browser storage
As well as cookies, the site may store one item of data in the browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. It only does so if you have accepted analytics or marketing cookies; otherwise, it keeps it in memory while you browse and loses it on reload.
On Resources articles it also keeps, in local storage, whether you have already seen the newsletter notice, so that it is not shown to you again. This is technical: it does not identify you, does not leave your browser and is not used for measurement, so it does not require consent.
| Key | Owner | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| anvi_attribution_v1 | ANVIPARTNERS (first party) | Analytics or marketing | Remembers, during the visit, the first page you saw, the website you arrived from (only its domain) and, if you came from a campaign or an advert, which one, so that, if you write to us, we know where you came from. | Until the tab is closed |
| anvi_boletin_v1 | ANVIPARTNERS (first party) | Technical | Remembers whether you closed the newsletter notice or subscribed, so that it is not shown to you again. It stores only that and the date; not your email address. | Until you clear it; if you closed the notice, it may appear again after 30 days |
